For us the elegant combination of nature, hospitality, history and a world class kitchen provided the exact the relaxing escape from reality that we were seeking. On a recu comme cadeau du mariage une coffre du Relais du silence, et a Tenuta San Pietro On a passe un week end extraordinaire !, le staff, l hotel, le dinner, le paysage, le service, le chef, la chambre, meme les vtt's ont etait superbe ! Un grande recomendation, nous retournerons sans hesiter.

Mio marito ed io, insieme ai nostri amici, abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo week alla Tenuta. Siamo stati veramente bene, abbiamo trovato un ambiente elegante e familiare (un connubio non facile). Complimenti a tutto, ma proprio tutto, lo staff per la cortesia, la simpatia e la professionalità. Grazie!!!

SIAMO STATI QUESTA ESTATE NELLA TENUTA SAN PIETRO CON MIO MARITO ' LA MIA PRIMO GENITA ( LA QUALE HANNO FATTO SENTIRE UNA REGINA )E IL MIO SECONDO FIGLIO IN GREMBO! MI HA PORTATO LI MIO MARITO PER FARMI RILASSARE E COSI è STATO. CI SIAMO STACCATI PER TRE GIORNI DAL CAOS DELLA ROUTINE QUOTIDIANA . IL MANGIARE è STATO MERAVIGLIOSO COME IL SERVIZIO E LE PERSONE. RITORNEREMO!!!

Ho soggiornato presso la Tenuta San Pietro per un weekend, e non posso che esprimere la mia piu' completa soddisfazione per il servizio offerto. La camera era ottima, con speciale vista sulla valle e su Lucca, l'assistenza professionale, il servizio di prima colazione (con la gentile Sig.na Elena) inappuntabile. Merita un ritorno. Complimenti!.

From the moment we arrived at Tenuta San Pietro we were made to feel very welcome. Within an hour of being in such a warm environment within vinyards and olive trees and the most spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Lucca we felt very relaxed. The room itself was beautifully kept and very comfortable. We only stayed there for 2 nights but in that short time I fell in love with the place! One of my personal highlights of the stay was watching the sky change colours in the most fantastic sunset whilst sipping a glass of wine brought to us by the pool. My other lasting memory was of the food! We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside on the terrace to dine one evening in October. The atmosphere was set by candle light and the twinkling lights of Lucca down the valley in the distance. It is hard to describe how beautiful this was! The team at the hotel had thought of everything and even provided rugs in case we got chilly as well as using heaters. The food and wine served was seasonal, fresh and fantastically cooked. Instead of choosing from the menu we took recommendations. Every course and the wine to accompany it was perfect in every way and the service fantastic. The attention to detail at Tenuta San Pietro and the friendly yet professional staff made the stay so very relaxing. Dear Sirs, I am writing to you to recommend the ‘Tenuta San Pietro Restaurant & Hotel’ (www.tenuta-san-pietro.com) which I believe truly deserves a place in your publication. My husband & I have used your hotel review many times & always found it reliable & consistent. The types of residence that you promote provide exactly the type of environment & quality of food that we look for when on holiday, the hotel Tenuta San Pietro does not disappoint on any aspect. We found the hotel by chance, online, looking for somewhere to stay close to a vineyard just outside Lucca (Tuscany, Italy) where we were planning to have our wedding this August. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived by the breathtaking scenery & the very pretty but quite cool hotel building with around 10 rooms, very intimate & romantic. We arrived very late (c 11.30pm) & enjoyed a fabulous meal & much needed bottle of wine having been asked, by text if we would like something to eat when we found the hotel. Our wedding plans turned out to be a total disaster & with two months to go before the event, you can imagine we were both very anxious about getting something planned. Later the next evening, after another amazing meal (head chef away as his wife was having a baby!) we chatted with the manager, Gastone about the situation. We were so taken with the hotel; food & setting that we decided to have our wedding reception there. From then on, I had nothing to worry about. Gastone became unofficial wedding planner, totally efficient & sensitive to budget considerations, we had very little to do from then on except paperwork. We arrived at the hotel a week before the wedding & were greeted by Gastone with open arms as though we were visiting royalty. All of the arrangements had been made (including florist, printing, cars, transport & other logistics) & as we settled into our spectacular suite we looked forward to the week ahead. Various friends & family arrived over the following days & were included & catered for without any unnecessary fuss. The food was always brilliant, not one disappointing course over 10 days. Co-manager, Gabrielle saw to everyone’s requirements with the grace & charm of the average film star, nothing too much trouble. With total flexibility over meal times (yes, it is still possible to have breakfast at 12.30!) we really did feel like part of the family. The actual wedding reception went like a dream with delicious canapés, home smoked ham served from one of the cellars & drinks followed by (yet another brilliant) 5 course meal then dancing (we kept them working until 6.00am!) I couldn’t have imagined a more prefect best day of my life. The totally unflappable staff of the Tenuta San Pietro Hotel is a credit to the owners. I’ve never had a better holiday (really) & can’t wait to get back there; many of our guests feel the same & some I hear intend to make bookings again soon. We highly recommend this great little hotel which is a true treasure & I hope you manage to find the time to experience a wonderful stay there. Hello. In sept 2008 we were so lucky to stay at your place, Tenuta San Pietro, for 1 week. It was a lovely place, and we are now planning our wedding and started thinking of Tenuta San Pietro as a possibility for the day. We have heard that Mr. Tjersland has quited and we`re wondering if the hotel is still open. The wedding will be held probably next summer. We look forward to hear from you. Eva Mariann Thomsen
